What’s been happening:

As the Congressional and Public Affairs Officer at Norfolk Naval Shipyard, I'm responsible for this Navy installation's internal and external public affairs programs. I've been working at this facility for 21 years as a federal civil servant. Prior to that I spent a decade as a NASA public affairs contractor at Cape Canaveral, from the mid-1960's to the mid-1970's. I also worked for nearly a decade in public relations for first Dow Chemical and then BASF in Williamsburg, VA. Other PR jobs were at Avon Fashions and Bionetics Corporation, both in Hampton, VA. Was also the first news director of WRSC radio in State College, PA, in 1961, after receiving my BA degree in Journalism. Went back to PSU for a master's degree in Journalism, which I received in September 1963. Served on Air Force active duty prior to the Viet Nam War. Married to Enid Mazer, whom I met at PSU. We have three grown sons.
